I had begun writing this entry last week, but never finished it. So pretend it is last week, and read the following

National Pancake Week almost passed without my attention. It was last week, and luckily the coolest lady in the IT department brought a griddle,
three different types of pancake mixes, multiple syrups, a huge thing of bacon, fruit and orange juice.
Best. Friday. Ever. It totally made my week.
The church thang is still kickin. We're having a big pot luck thing on Sunday for the last regular season UK game. Everyone is invited, BYOB. Should be a good time. We have a big ass churchy screen and soundsystem. Perfect for the religion that is UK Basketball.
So my mom called me and told me that my 18 year old cousin is coming home from high school in Canada (long story) to marry a 24 year or old girl that he met attending classes at the local University. For some reason he was accepted to a program that allowed him to take high school classes at a University (along with all the older women and other perks), he met said girl, and things got crazy serious. The parents are a liiiiiiiittle over protective, and pretty much freaked out as expected. So he got the choice of going to school in Canada, or... going to school in Canada. Given those options, he went to Canada. Current theories include: he's doing this to spite his parents, he's doing this to piss off his parents, and he's doing this to teach his parents a lesson.

Levi is actually getting married tomorrow. I'm a little pissed that he's not waiting for the family to be able to come. I think it's important to at least give us all enough notice so we can
try to come. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking his woman is rushing him into this so he doesn't have time to realize he's making a mistake. Oh well... he can shit in his own nest if he wants to.
I've slacked off on the ole blog recently. I am incredibly busy at work right now. HIPAA remediation ends next month, which is a TON of work. Top that with a Joint Commission accreditation survey later this month, and that equals a hospital full of busy people. Plus I helped move a whole department full of people to a new building, which has gotten me behind on a lot of the daily stuff I do :-p. I do have some really good news on the job front though, but I'll wait to share that until it's "official".
Two things have happened while i've been sitting here writing this. One, I knocked a picture over and broke the glass. Two, I got an invitation from
Rojo to sign up for their beta service. Rojo is supposed to be similar to
Bloglines, which I
love. If you haven't seen it,
here are all my RSS feeds. I will check out Rojo over the next couple days to see if it stacks up, and let you, my loyal reader, know the low down. If you read any number of blogs and are not using an RSS aggregator, the you
should. It makes the blog checking process
so much easier. DO IT. DO IT NOW.
Moms has been in town since Saturday, so it was nice to hang with her a bit. She was nice enough to ferry me to Paris twice so I could get my car repaired. Thank God that whole mess is over. The car is fixed and looks pretty good. Hopefully it won't be too damn long before I get another one. Unfortuately my dream car, a [1999 thru 2001] V6 convertable Toyota Solara runs about $17000. Someday it will be mine.
All Saints Episcopal Church is still moving foward with a purpose. We had a pot luck after church on Sunday for the game, which was quite fun. Unfortunately we couldn't procure our large projector to watch the game on, but it was still fun. Except that the Cats LOST. LAME! They've been pretty on and off recently. I hope, but doubt that they will be able to put together enough good games to make it all the way. They gave Florida a good game, and both teams played okay, but the Gators made the plays at the end. I'd feel better if we were able to play them again in the SEC tournament and whoop their ass. I'd settle for South Carolina. We definitely got the difficult side of the bracket though. LSU is coming on right now, and I'd prefer to not play them again.
There's a really crappy quality copy of the as of yet unreleased Episode 3 trailer
here. This is only for the geekcore, so beware. It's enticing, but unfulling. I guess we'll all be watching the fucking OC to view a decent quality copy
in english. Oh well. Here's a kitty in a clothes basket...
