To me, it look like a leprachaun to me

Oy vey! I have been super busy since the last time I update the 'ole blog. First off, check this out: http://myspace.com/emceelepracon. Watch the first two videos on the page. EFFING HILARIOUS.

WHO ELSE SEE THE LEPRACHAUN SAY YEAH?!

...but I digress...

The new Atmosphere album is damn good, but I pretty much love everything they've done. I dunno why, but Atmosphere's music has always really spoken to me. Maybe because it's good hip-hop by a (kinda-)white guy from Minnesota. Who knows... There are some tracks you can play on their myspace page. For more info on Atmosphere click the picture above or check out:

Work has been absolutely nuts. Trying to work the bugs out of the Cisco lightweight wireless solution has been... fun. It was pretty much working, but there were some problems wihen clients were roaming between access points. I had poured over all the documentation that Cisco had released, but they finally released some worthwhile stuff that gave me enough direction to fix the roaming problems. Apart from that, we are turning on "guest" access, which has been another joy. The configuration isn't complicated, but it isn't well documented anywhere. Of course, we were trying to implement a scenaio that wasn't covered at all in the docs. I had to go through a one month long support ticket with Cisco, and ended up talking to the dude that wrote the book for configuring guest access. Thankfully it's working now, and when I talked to the guy I suggested that he add a little more detail to the manual :).

Things are going good on the baby front. We've tentatively decided on Alexis for a name, and we would call her Lexi. I really like the name, the only problems I see are that she would be "Lexi from Lexington", or possibly even "Sexy Lexi". That disturbs me a bit, but what can you do? April really likes Madison, which I don't dislike, it just doesn't really do it for me. I dunno. We did get some awesome ultrasound pictures. I would post them, but i've already posted one, and most people really don't care about seeing them. Seeing the ultrasound is so neat, because you can see a lot more detail. We saw her yawn and suck her thumb, which was so cool. She hooked her pointer finger over her nose when she sucked her thumb, which is exactly what my little brother used to do. I never was much of a thumb sucker. April is popping out more by the day. We've been taking pictures of her belly over time, so that will be really neat to look at after everything is said and done. She's starting to get more nervous about delivery, but I'm sure she'll do great. We start our "delivery class" soon... joy!

We got to go to Keeneland on Saturday for Bluegrass Stakes day, which was a blast. The weather was incredible. We got there early, and parked about as close as I've ever gotten to at Keeneland (a big plus when you have a pregnant wife with you). We lucked out and got driven to the door by one of the golf cart dudes, and got a ride back to the car when we left. Neither of us were drinking, so we got spend a lot more looking at horses and the program, and actually watching the races. I really can't remember the last time I went to Keeneland and wasn't drinking, so it was nice to not have to stand in line for half the time I was there. We still lost alll our money (goddamn trifectas! we were off my one horse three times!), but it was a good time.

I am getting a huge kick out of watching Cheerleader Nation. It's kind of neat to see my old high school on national television every friday night. We actually saw some of the cheerleaders when we were at Keeneland, which was funny. April just keeps making fun of me, but what she doesn't realize is that there's no damn way I ever would have watched that show apart from when she turned it on. I just keep wondering if any of the Dunbar cheerleaders that I knew are watching it, and what they think about it. Anyways, if there are any current Dunbar cheerleaders out there, look me up on Myspace. U guyz r soo coool! I <3 u guyz! Go bulldogs!
